Josephine N° 3 – Red

Our Josephine N° 3 glass is a proven Grand Seigneur. It has a large surface area, so that full-bodied and complex red wines have enough contact with oxygen. Kurt Josef Zalto has succeeded in squaring the circle with this glass – a combination of a Bordeaux and Burgundy glass. Full-bodied, concentrated and seductive Pinots, Bordeaux blends, Baroli, Syrah and the like can unfold in the Josephine N° 3 in an expansive manner. Moreover, this masterpiece offers the perfect stage for full-bodied and extracted white wines, such as barrique-aged Chardonnays, as well as icon wines such as those from Napa Valley, Oregon, South America, South Africa and Australia.

Josephine N° 7 – Decanter

Due to its size, our decanter is perfect for young (up to approx. 10 years old), complex, full-bodied red wines or premium, young white and rosé wines that become more harmonious as they breathe. (The producer or merchant you trust will be happy to help you with a recommendation). Mature red wines that have already formed a sediment due to storage should be decanted carefully and, if necessary, with the help of a light source.

Kurt Josef Zalto was born with a deep fascination for glass. Coming from a long lineage of glassmakers spanning six generations, his passion goes far beyond a love for traditional craftsmanship. As a designer, his mission is the pursuit of the perfect form—inspired by nature. Over 20 years ago, he created a glass that was revolutionary at the time.
